What events led you to this career?

I've always had an interest in personal finance.  After a career in Project Management, I focused on my growing family and volunteering at schools, my church, and a community food bank.  But I always had an interest in personal finance, so I enrolled in some Financial Planning classes, which led me to achieve my goals of earning my Financial Planning Certificate and passing the CFP® certification examination.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

I enjoy getting to know and to help people.  I like identifying and following up on tasks that put them on the right path, as well as learning about and sharing ways to prepare for a more secure future.

Family Info:

My husband and I have two children. Our daughter is in veterinary school and our son is in college studying finance and history.

What are your interests outside of work?

When the weather is nice, I love to be outside: bike riding, kayaking, hiking, swimming, gardening, even the occasional pickleball game.  I enjoy eating international and ethnic food, and love to travel.
