What events led you to this career?

I studied business management at UGA. I've spent the last many years leading the estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting team of a multi-state enterprise (personally overseeing $30M of revenue). Although I enjoyed problem solving and optimizing efficiencies at that business, the role lacked a personal connection to individuals that I longed for. Tired of the corporate world, I started and operated a small business for several years while I pivoted into personal financial planning where I could use my business, education, and finance background to deliver personalized advice and coaching to clients.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

I enjoy seeing the release of stress and the excitement of a hopeful future that clients get once we have laid out their options and collaborated on a plan moving forward. It is very rewarding to get to know clients on a level that is so personal, and then work with them to make their lives better.

Clientele:

I work with a wide range of people, most of which are extremely busy with life and work. These clients realize they have a need for their finances to be organized, planned, and managed. A lot of my clients are business owners, working professionals, or retirees - the common attribute is that they all desire to be intentional with their finances for the best possible future for their families.

Family Info:

My wife and I have four amazing kids (6 mo - 9 yrs). And yes, our house can be a lot fun at times, sometimes a little loud too. We live in Madison, GA and love the small town feel of knowing so many people around us everywhere we go.

What are your interests outside of work?

Our family spends anytime we can get outside. We often will jump in the truck and head up to the mountains for a day hike. We love good food and good times with friends and family. We do a lot of get togethers with our church community as well as our fellow homeschool families.
