Our History

It is difficult to pinpoint exactly when the idea of Verisail came to fruition.  On paper, some say it began in 2010. However, perhaps it has been in the making since Thad and Scott were in elementary school together, some 30 years ago.

Fast forward to college, Thad and Scott attended the University of Georgia where they met Taylor and became fast friends. Upon graduation, they all pursued various job offers. Thad and Scott worked at a financial planning firm, while Taylor worked at a commercial real estate firm. Despite gaining invaluable experience in the real world, there was still something deep inside that was missing from their lives as it related to work. There was a real and unceasing desire to own a business and live with a purpose that went beyond themselves. Little did they know, they would be pursuing this dream, together.

Early in 2010, the romanticized idea of entrepreneurship started to become a reality. For the better half of the year, Thad and Scott began pulling together an initial business plan. Why did they want to do this?  What key qualities would define them? What services would they offer? What would be the culture? These were all questions that needed to be answered.

After many meetings with business mentors and countless napkin brainstorming sessions, Verisail was born with Taylor joining a couple years later.

In Latin, Veritas means Truth, and this was exactly what they wanted to see for their clients: a lifetime partnership centered around the idea of providing solid, objective financial advice with complete transparency. The sailboat is a symbol of guiding you through the ups and downs of life.
