The joy of happening to get a good parking spot! If you’re like me, it can be a lovely surprise when you happen upon a good, close parking spot. It saves me some effort and, especially in the summer, limits my time in the heat. And how many times do I opt for the elevator over stairs?

Research suggests that if you are able to climb four flights of stairs in under a minute, you are in “good heart health”.* I think I could do that (although I may time myself next time just to be sure). But living in a single-story house means that adding a few stair climbs to my week probably is a good idea.

Maybe it’s like saving and investing: even if it’s not always easy, sometimes a little extra effort can be a good thing for you and your future!
