Summer has always been my happy season. I love the sweltering heat and all of the outside activity. My husband much prefers the regulated temperature of the air conditioner, on at full blast. While I hibernate in winter, he enjoys the cold arctic blasts outside. Fall is that beautiful, though all too short, season when everything seems in balance. Not too hot, not too cold, just right!
Our finances can sometimes feel like the change of seasons…a summer vacation with a raise or bonus, or a drought with unexpected medical bills or car repairs. It is hard to find that peaceful autumn breeze in your wallet, but saving for that rainy day can be like the pile of warm blankets that I dive for when the temperature drops! While we can’t control the seasons outside, our savings can be the extra barrier that shelters us from all that life brings!
