I recently finished a fantastic book about eliminating hurry from your life. In it, the author used an analogy that I loved. Mostly because it had to do with running, but it applies here as well!

The author likes to sit on his front porch early in the morning. Nearly every day, the same group of perky runners gather and then take off at a brisk pace.

He made this point…”If I want to become one of those runners, then I need to adopt their lifestyle.”

I need to go to bed earlier.

I may need to change my eating habits.

I may need to actually start walking or jogging!

This is true in so many areas of our lives, but especially with our money.

I’ve never met a person who can’t articulate where they want to end up financially. That’s the easy part! It’s rare that I meet someone whose habits and disciplines point towards their goals or the person they want to become!

It’s rewarding to help someone clarify their goals. It’s absolutely beautiful when someone is willing to make the choices that naturally lead to accomplishing them!
